The West Indies have added off-spinner Sunil Narine to their Test squad for the three-match series in New Zealand.

The change to the squad comes after fellow off-spinners Shane Shillingford and Marlon Samuels had their actions reported in India, although both are set to head for New Zealand and are eligible to play.

They will first go to Perth for independent analysis of their actions, while head coach Ottis Gibson will accompany them. Samuels' quicker ball and Shillingford's doosra were identified by the match officials during the second Test in Mumbai as being suspect.

Gibson, Samuels and Shillingford are expected to be back with the squad in New Zealand this weekend and should his visas be processed in time so will Kraigg Brathwaite, who will replace the injured Chris Gayle.

Narine, 25, has played two of his five Tests against New Zealand but has thus far enjoyed more success in limited overs cricket than in the five-day game.

The opening Test is in Dunedin and begins on 3rd December before the series moves on to Wellington (11th-15th December) and Hamilton (19th-23rd December).

West Indies Test squad: Darren Sammy (captain), Denesh Ramdin (vice-captain), Tino Best, Kraigg Brathwaite, Darren Bravo, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Sheldon Cottrell, Narsingh Deonarine, Kirk Edwards, Shannon Gabriel, Sunil Narine, Veerasammy Permaul, Kieron Powell, Marlon Samuels, Shane Shillingford, Chadwick Walton
