West Indies appoint Rajindra Dhanraj as spin bowling consutlant
Dhanraj has played four Tests and six ODIs for West Indies between 1994 and 1996 in which he snared 18 wickets combined and is specialised with leg break googly.
The 48-year-old will join the camp in their preparations for the ODI series and will return back ahead of the Test series that kicks-off on 21st April.
West Indies Cricket Board director Jimmy Adams welcomed the addition of Dhanraj to the coaching panel.
“We welcome Rajindra to the West Indies team group. We’re delighted he has agreed to come and work with our players. He has a wealth of knowledge on the game and we know he will make a great contribution," said Adams.
“He will be spending time with our slow bowlers prior to both the One-Day Series in Guyana and start of the Test series in Jamaica as we look to improve and enhance their skills.”
The three match ODI series will be played in Guyana on 7th, 9th and 11th April while the three Tests will be played between 21st April and 14th May.
