West Indies drop Shane Dowrich, Miguel Cummins from training squad for England series
West Indies selectors have left out seam bowler Miguel Cummins and back-up wicket-keeper Shane Dowrich from the 15-man training squad announced earlier for the One-Day International series against England.
The 13-man squad captained by Jason Holder will travel to Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Ground Stadium for the first two games on 3rd and 5th March following which the final game has been scheduled at Kensington Oval on 9th March.
Dowrich had a mediocre Regional 50 tournament where he managed a single double digit score in the last six matches and in his absence Shai Hope is expected to don the wicket-keeping role.
Shannon Gabriel will lead the pace attack which has Alzarri Joseph along with all-round options of Carlos Brathwaite and Holder while Devendra Bishoo and Ashley Nurse form the spin department.
This will also be the first assignment for former Australian batsman Stuart Law as West Indies head coach and he will be assisted by Roddy Estwick and Toby Radford.
