Womens Cricket Festival at Bexley CC
On Sunday 24th June Bexley CC held their first ever Women's cricket festival. Designed to get new adult ladies into cricket, this was a softball competition set up Kent Cricket Community.
The competition comprised 3 teams. Bexley Mum's, Townley Grammar School Staff and a team made up on the day called The Cubs. The club was buzzing with Bar, BBQ, Salad Bar, Squash Station all on the go and the England v Panama World Cup match showing on the clubs TV.
The club and a host of volunteers got this event on and it was held in brilliant sunshine. The Bexley Mum's won the competition with some sizzling big hitting throughout the day and they won all their 4 matches in a double round robin format where each team played either other twice.
