Worcestershire Announce FP Trophy Line-Up

Worcestershire are preparing to welcome the Scottish Saltires to New Road, and in so doing will be welcoming one of the current Worcestershire players to the visitors dressing room. In a rare occurrence, Dewald Nel, will be out on the New Road pitch without his Royals strip in the Friends Provident Trophy but instead will be wearing the cross of St Andrews. The last previous incident of a member of Worcestershire 1st XI playing against Worcestershire was in the C&G Trophy match on the 7th May 2003, when both Steve Davies and Justin Kemp played for the Worcestershire Cricket Board and later that year went on to play for the 1st XI. This clash resulted in a win for Worcestershire 1st XI by 170 runs, hopefully a repeat of this result will occur on Wednesday against Scotland. Worcestershire have named an 11 man squad as follows: P Jacques (1), V Solanki * (3), B Smith (4), M Ali (8), G Hick (7), S Davies+ (16), G Batty (12), K Hogg, K Ali (15), R Price (77), D Bollinger (2).
