Trailblazers beat Velocity by a massive nine wickets in the second Women's T20 Challenge at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Thursday afternoon.
A Sophie Ecclestone special
After opting to bat, Velocity were bowled out for a mere 47 in 15.1 overs. English left-arm spinner Sophie Ecclestone was the best bowler with figures of four for nine. The other key bowlers were Jhulan Goswami (2-13) and Rajeshwari Gayakwad (2-13). Only three batters entered double figures. Shafali Varma was the top-scorer with 13.
The chase for Trailblazers was quite easy. Deandra Dottin (29: 28b, 3x4) remained unbeaten in the chase as they overhauled the target in 7.5 overs to finish at 49 for ine. Richa Ghosh remained unbeaten with Dottin on 13 off 10 balls with one boundary and one six.
