The #GameOfRoses, which will take place at Emerald Headingley on Thursday 9th August, has now sold out for the sixth year in a row and nearly two months in advance.
Yorkshire Vikings begin their Vitality Blast campaign in three weeks with the visit of Durham Jets on Thursday 5th July. The Club have seen a 46% year-on-year increase in One Day Memberships with those who join in 2018 able to take advantage of Ashes Priority in 2019.
Mark Arthur, The Yorkshire County Cricket Club Chief Executive said: “We are extremely pleased to see our fixture against Lancashire Lightning sell-out, again in record time. The popularity of this match has helped the attendances to grow across the whole competition and there is nothing quite like a Roses clash in domestic cricket.
“Last season, Yorkshire broke two home records and won six from a possible seven at Emerald Headingley. Adam Lyth’s incredible 161 runs against Northants Steelbacks and David Willey’s sensational century against Worcestershire were just two moments that showcased the attacking brand of T20 cricket that we hope to see again this summer.
“Early bird tickets are still available for the ever-popular Friday night fixtures, this year taking place against Northants Steelbacks, Notts Outlaws and Birmingham Bears. We encourage supporters to purchase their tickets in advance and take advantage of the early bird prices.”
