Northamptonshire 241 (Alex Wakely (42) Charlie Thurston (53) Graeme White (41); David Willey 3-24, Matthew Fisher 2-32)
Yorkshire 245-6 (David Willey 71,Gary Balance 66 , Jonathan Tattersall 52* )
Result Yorkshire won by 4 wickets
After a poor start, Northamptonshire were struggling at 23-3, with the top order back in pavilion. However, a rear guard action from Alex Wakely (42) Charlie Thurston (53) and Graeme White (41) helped them to an unlikely 241 all out, against some fine bowling by the Yorkshire pair David Willey 3-24 and Matthew Fisher 2-32.
In reply, Yorkshire’s innings also began badly and at 14-2, after 4 overs it was anyone’s game. David Willey (71), Gary Ballance (66) and Jonathan Tattersall 52* were the mainstay of the Yorkshire innings and eventually they stuttered to a tense win, with Tattersall and Bresnan in at the end.
