Zimbabwe beat Bangladesh by 151 runs in the 1st Test at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, Sylhet today. It was their first overseas win since 2001.

Zimbabwe 282 (Sean Williams 88, Hamilton Masakadza 52, Peter Moor 63*; Taijul Islam 6-108) and 181 (Hamilton Masakadza 48; Taijul Islam 5-62)

Bangladesh 143 (Ariful Haque 41*;Tendai Chatara 3-19, Sikandar Raza Butt 3-35) and 169 (Imrul Kayes 43;Brandon Mavuta 4-21, Sikandar Raza Butt 3-41)

Result – Zimbabwe won by 151 runs

The Zimbabwe bowlers Brandon Mavuta 4-21 and Sikandar Raza Butt 3-41 reduced Bangladesh to 169 all out in their 2nd Innings, resulting in a famous victory for the tourists, in the 1st Test.

Bangladesh will be looking to even things up in the second Test at Dhaka, starting on 11th November.
