A half century from Ryan Burl, supported by an all round batting performance was enough to see Zimbabwe to a 3 wicket win via the D/L method today at the Harare Sports Club.

Match Summary

Zimbabwe vs Ireland, 1st ODI, Ireland tour of Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe 214/7 (37 ov)

Ireland 288/4 (50 ov)

Zimbabwe won the toss and put Ireland in to bat, Victor Nyauchi (2/65) and Richard Ngarava (1/40) getting both openers early leaving Ireland in disarray.

That was before skipper Andy Balbirnie (121) lead the charge from the front, smashing a sensational century to get Ireland back into this one.
